Mr. Moore, you didn’t warn us Trump would win in 2016. You predicted it. In fact, you presented it as a fait accompli.

I presumed your “Donald Trump is going to win” bit was some weird attempt at reverse psychology on your part, similar to the head games we often get from Bill Maher. But a lot of people believe you have special insights that allow you to know what’s really going on, and they gave great weight to your prediction.

I believe your prediction actually caused many would-be Clinton voters to stay home. I want to know if you disagree, and if so, why? What were you thinking?

As far as I’m concerned, you suppressed more votes that would have gone for Hillary Clinton than you motivated to vote against Donald Trump. I suspect that wasn’t your intention, but on the other hand, you never come out publicly and actually tell people your values. Everybody is just supposed to assume that you’re a progressive because you made some anti-corruption documentaries?

If you’re actually progressive-minded and believe in justice and equality, please come out and say these things, and for the benefit of society, please desist from any future attempts at reverse psychology.
