Will do. I support your societal perspective 100%. Solidarity.
However, you missed on two points. First, the role of Fox News and other conservative propagandists is central. They really, truly are the cause of our troubles today. It’s not the underlying issues like economic decline that brought us to where we are today. It’s the misinformation and logical fallacies and oversimplified narratives and repetition that Fox engaged in from 1987 to the present. They have literally reshaped American culture. It wasn’t our collective middle-class economic environment that changed who we were. It was our diet of twisted logic and salty, untrue narratives.
Second, the gridlock in Washington belongs to the Republican Party. That’s their real strategy…they want extreme meritocracy and social injustice (i.e. “status quo"), and since the public won’t give it to them, gridlock is their solution. Gum up the works, slow things down. The Republican Party has become the mule resisting the efforts of the farmer to move it. That started in 2008 I would say. Wasn’t always their fault, but it is now. Wrong to pin gridlock on the Democrats.
